US Embassy warns applicants on visa   Date: Thursday 29 April, 2010
News Summary:
News Content:

The United States Embassy on Wednesday advised visa applicants to desist from patronising touts to access and fill its new online visa application form, which was introduced in March.

An Information Officer at the embassy in Abuja, Mr. Dave Renz, gave the advice in a telephone interview with the News Agency of Nigeria while reacting to complaints by applicants on the difficulties in completing the forms.

He said, "The US online visa application can be completed by anyone with access to the Internet as no one has special access to the system and applicants do not need to use a tout to complete the application."
