However, Stoke City's Seyi Olofinjana was dropped while Brown Ideye of Sochaux and Terna Suswam of local side Lobi Stars have been given a chance to make the World Cup.

Nigeria's final list of 23 will be made known on June 1. The Super Eagles are drawn in Group B alongside Argentina, Greece and South Korea.
